This Privacy Policy explains how ListMyProduct.in ("we", "our", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our Chrome Extension and related services.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the minimum data necessary to operate the service:
- Account Data: Email address, first name, last name (provided during registration).
- Product Images: Images you upload for AI analysis. These are sent to our servers for processing and are not stored after analysis is complete.
- Seller Account ID: Detected from your active marketplace session for subscription license locking.
- Usage Metrics: Number of AI analyses performed (for free tier tracking).
2. How We Use Your Data
Your data is used strictly to:
- Generate AI-powered product titles, descriptions, and attributes from your uploaded images.
- Manage your account, subscription status, and billing through Razorpay.
- Prevent unauthorized access through OTP email verification and Seller ID locking.
- Track free-tier usage limits.
We do not sell, share, or trade your personal information with any third party. We do not use your data for advertising.
3. Image Processing
Product images you upload are transmitted via HTTPS to our secure backend, forwarded to OpenAI's GPT-4o Vision API for analysis, and the resulting text is returned to the extension. Images are processed in-memory and never written to disk or stored permanently. OpenAI's data retention and privacy policies apply to image processing.
4. Browser Permissions
The extension requests the following Chrome permissions:
- activeTab: To read form fields on the currently active seller dashboard page.
- scripting: To inject auto-fill logic into the listing page.
- storage: To store your authentication token locally on your device.
- cookies: To detect your Seller Account ID for license verification.
- sidePanel: To open the extension as a browser side panel.
We only access your seller dashboard. We do not access any other websites, your browsing history, or your bookmarks.
5. Data Security
We employ industry-standard security practices including HTTPS encryption for all data transmission, secure server-side token authentication, and bcrypt password hashing. Your payment data is handled entirely by Razorpay — we never see or store your card details.
6. Data Retention
Account data is retained for the duration of your active account. Uploaded images are processed in real-time and discarded immediately after analysis. If you delete your account, all associated data will be permanently removed within 30 days.
7. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- OpenAI API: For GPT-4o Vision image analysis (subject to OpenAI's privacy policy).
- Razorpay: For payment processing (PCI-DSS compliant).
- MongoDB Atlas: For secure cloud database hosting.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to access, modify, or delete your personal data at any time. Contact us at privacy@listmyproduct.in to exercise these rights. Account deletion can also be done by contacting support.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via email to registered users. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
